1877 L’Agence des Journaux Léonce Pictet is founded in Geneva.
1908 A branch is set up in Lausanne. The company has 300 retail outlets.
1928 The company moves to offices at rue Lévrier in Geneva, from where it distributes products to 500 retail outlets.
1953 Introduction of computer systems to handle distribution and unsold items quickly.
1963 The book distribution centre and part of the press division are established in Lausanne.
1990 Association with Edipresse and Lagardère Services, the global leader in press distribution, to form Payot Naville Distribution, comprising the companies Payot, Naville and OLF.

1992 Naville headquarters leaves rue Lévrier and relocates to the La Praille operations centre. Naville is organised into 4 units: Naville Détail, Naville Presse, Naville Livre and Naville Service.
2000 Launch of RELAY, the international stores operated by Lagardère Services in travel centres. 1,100 RELAY stores have been opened in 16 countries to date, 43 of which in Switzerland.
2001 Launch of RELAY Services, shops selling essential items that are situated in train stations and which are open 7 days a week.
2007 Naville is a supplier to 1,250 retail outlets, 180 of which are its own stores. |
